Richard Anthony Siracusano, Jr. Graduated early...January '75 and did the military thing. Went on to become and Officer and Army Aviator. In '82 I joined the NYPD and retired after 20 years of service in January of '02 as a Detective. I worked in the 83, 106, 107 PCTs and the Aviation Unit where I was a helicopter instructor pilot. As a member of the New York Army National Guard, I served a year in Iraq as a Lieutenant Colonel, returning to the States in late August '05. After 28 years of commissioned service to my state and country, I decided to remain an active member of the "Guard" as an army aviator so...I reverted my commission to that of a warrant officer. I secured a "full-time" job with the National Guard at MacArthur Airport as a Blackhawk Helicopter Instructor Pilot and Aviation Safety Officer. I married in 1984 to a beautiful Italian girl from Queens and have 3 wonderful children. 2 boys (born '89, and '91)and my little princess (born '95). After nearly 25 years of marriage the wife and I are moving our seperate ways in opposite directions... enough said on that. My eldest son is attending his junior year at James Madison University (JMU) in VA on a full Army ROTC scholarship. My middle guy is attending his freshman year at University at Albany on a full Air Force ROTC scholarship, and my daughter started Walt Whitman this year. I moved back to Huntington in February of '02 after living in Babylon for 15 years. Man...I love this town! It's great to be home...seeing old friends.
